What does Rinse Aid do?

It does this by reducing the surface tension of water.

Normally, water has a high surface tension, which results in large beads forming and sticking to your dishes in the dishwasher.

These large beads of water take longer to dry, and when they do dry up, they can often leave water spots on your glassware.

Rinse aid contains surfactants that reduce the surface tension of water.

Water with reduced surface tension tends to form thin sheets, rather than large beads, which evaporate much more easily.
