White & Wong's Queenstown

White & Wong's is an Asian Fusion restaurant located in the heart of Queenstown. This is the second White and Wongs Restaurant for Maritime Hospitality, the first being located on Auckland's Viaduct.

They position themselves as an 'east meets west' style of cuisine. They put a spin on classic street foods from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand - the noodles, soups, curries and dumplings - and created an eclectic menu to pick and choose from.

This branch is a 160 seat modern Asian Fusion concept, with three bars and generous fittings throughout, the kitchen is very much on show, running the entire length of the main dining area, and was designed and supplied by Southern Hospitality.

With a wide array of products, cooking and kitchen equipment, tableware and cleaning equipment, we delivered on time, in spec and the customer is extremely happy with the outcome. Here is a small showcase of our work!

To support White & Wong’s brilliant menu, we fitted them out with a customized low height Britannia extraction hood, an 8 burner Waldorf range unit and 2 300mm Waldorf deep fryers. Project Stainless installed the benches and lined the walls of the kitchen. We installed various Simply Stainless wall shelves and supplied their kitchen and cookware - pots, pans and utensils.

We also installed a wok burner set from Cobra’s Asian Range and a Cobra stock pot burner.

On the right of the wok burners, we installed 2 Convotherm ovens by Moffat. We stacked the two for compact storage and easy access.

Project Stainless fitted the duck display and the bar tops. This runs down a portion of the main counter.

For washing up purposes, we installed a Starline CD100 Conveyor Dishwasher and 3 Starline undercounter glasswashers.

Along with Project Stainless' custom stainless steel work, we installed 6 Skope under counter chillers for food storage.

We installed (not pictured) a Skope Misa coolroom and a Hoshizaki IM240 Ice Machine.
